June 2, 2020 – Our Day is Coming!

Our Day is Coming!

One day, God told Noah that it was time to actually get into the ark – the vessel that Noah had labored to build for around one hundred years, while the world around him ridiculed him and continued in their luxurious living, paying no heed to the warning of an unseen God. One day, before the rain started, the Lord spoke to His faithful servant and told him to get safely tucked into that ark. God was going to finally reward Noah for His tireless work through so many opposing circumstances, and for his faith in the promised end, though the sight was yet unseen.

The Bible declares that one day, after we arrive in Heaven, God will wipe all the tears from our faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth. That means that one day, we will never again be scorned for our faithfulness to an unseen God and His Word. Our sorrows will all be over, and our cause will have proved real and right, despite how very few believed us during our time of labor on earth. Our investment into God’s kingdom will finally be rewarded, though we had formerly watched the world around us build their earthly kingdoms without much thought for eternity. The sorrows of the mocking unbelievers will just begin at the return of our Savior.

Hold on, faithful servant of God. Stay in the Word, dig deeply into the promises of both the Old and New Testaments. The Lord is wanting to encourage you to continue believing – to continue walking with Him – no matter how difficult it is right now. Our day, thank Jesus, is coming!

He will swallow up death for all time, and the Lord God will wipe tears away from all faces, and He will remove the reproach of His people from all the earth; for the Lord has spoken.” – (Isaiah 25:8)

June 1, 2020 – Only Thing that Stops Evil

Only Thing that Stops Evil

Ultimately, the only thing that can stop evil is Jesus. God told us that the world would come to this. The Lord has a schedule, and He has a plan. When God says it’s time for history to close and Jesus to return to judge evil and evildoers, He will. Nothing can stop Him. Eternal life is just around the bend. You need to be ready. You need to be right with Jesus. Pray.

And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” – (Matthew 24:12-14)

May 29, 2020 – Deepest Fears & Fiercest Struggles

Deepest Fears & Fiercest Struggles

Your deepest fears, your fiercest struggles, and your greatest disappointments are known and understood by God. He longs to offer His comfort in Jesus, Who will one day wrap His arms around us and say, “All pain is over; enter now into unhindered relief and joy.”

– Shelli Prindle

You have kept count of my tossings; put my tears in your bottle.” (Psalm 56:6)

May 28, 2020 – Stay Fixed on Him

Stay Fixed on Him

Do not take your eyes off Jesus. He made the universe, He died for all of us sinners, He is holding this broken world together long enough to work His plan to vanquish evil, redeem as many people as will come to Him, and remake the universe into a home in which all is right.

Do not take your eyes off Jesus. Stay fixed on Him. Anything or anyone that distracts you from Jesus is a tool being used by the enemy of your soul.

– Shelli Prindle

Fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith.” (Hebrews 12:2)

May 27, 2020 – The Only Virtue

The Only Virtue

When we mistakenly think we are without sin and innately good, we fail to remember that even during the occasions that we do right instead of wrong, our motives may be self-centered – to look good, to feel good, or to hope the same in return.

I am beyond thankful that my goodness does not depend on me! The only virtue I own is the righteousness of Jesus Christ, which was freely given to me as a gift. God alone is good, and He bestows that goodness on those who pin their hope on Jesus Christ.

– Shelli Prindle

He personally carried our sins in his body on the cross so that we can be dead to sin and live for what is right. By his wounds you are healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)

May 26, 2020 – Striking Turn of Events

Striking Turn of Events

I am sitting and reading this verse about what Jesus said to His disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane two thousand years ago, and it hits me like a brick, how this statement will be turned around at the Lord’s second coming.

At the arrest and crucifixion:

“See, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is betrayed into the hands of sinners.” (Matthew 26:45)

At the second coming:

“See, the hour is at hand, and betraying sinners will be rightly delivered into the hands of the Son of Man.” (Shelli’s synopsis)

What a turn of events, when the One who willingly died at the hands of sinners, soon returns to deal with sinners who will not receive His salvation. There is only one way to God, and His name is Jesus, the Son of Man. Without Him, a person is doomed to eternal separation from God.

May 25, 2020 – After COVID’s a Distant Memory

After COVID’s a Distance Memory

Long after COVID-19 is a distant memory, Jesus Christ will still be Lord. To serve Him as Savior now, is to keep Him as the center of our life, no matter what else is swirling around us. All disease, disorder, and distress will one day pass away, but Jesus will always be the King! Focus on Him; let Him be first and foremost in everything.

– Shelli Prindle

For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.” (Isaiah 65:17)

“The LORD will reign forever and ever.” (Exodus 15:18)

May 22, 2020 – Religion vs. Salvation

Religion vs. Salvation

Prayer is not a formality. It is not an obligation. And it is certainly not a waste of precious time in an otherwise busy life. It is the most valuable investment that can be made, and it miraculously yields dividends and multiplies time and effort. Why? Because prayer is not just “a thing you do”; it’s communicating with the very God of the universe, who moves things we could never move and accomplishes things we could never do alone!

– Shelli Prindle

If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. By this my Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.” (John 15:7-8)

May 21, 2020 – Trusted Witness

Trusted Witness

The end of your life and the end of the world are two events for which you cannot afford to be ill-prepared. We simply cannot know experientially what happens at death and at the end of this current world, for we are creatures bound by space and time. Therefore, we should take the word of a trusted witness, who has been to death and back, and who is already at the end of this world and the remaking of the next. His name is Jesus, and He is timeless. He is the One to trust regarding both of these pivotal events, from which we cannot return to have a “do-over.” We must now hear the voice of the Son of God regarding the end of our life and the end of the world. We must now act on His recommendation. We must study His directives now. Please, open your Bible, and pray.

– Shelli Prindle

For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the ‘right time’ is now. Today is the day of salvation.” (2 Corinthians 6:2)

May 20, 2020 – Revival

Revival

Revival. When hearts that already know Jesus as Savior are sparked into a more passionate relationship with Him and become contagious witnesses of His saving grace. Revival. When the seemingly most unlikely people to ever serve the Lord are saved by the blood of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit takes up residence in their bodies.

Revival. It is only accomplished by fervent prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit moving through the word-for-word declaration of the Bible. There is no substitute. It’s all of God.

Revival. It’s breaking out in Hope & Passion Ministries more than I ever anticipated. We just got word of an entire community that has been set on fire with a hunger for Jesus and the Bible! We hear daily testimonies of hearts lit on fire for the Lord here and even in people across this country and other spots on the globe!

I am the most blessed person in the world to serve the King this way! Oh, His amazing grace! May Jesus be lifted up more and more … until we see His dear face!

May 20, 2020 – The GOOD News

The GOOD News

There is enough bad news to go around these days. The Good News of the Gospel is that your Savior is greater than than entire world and all its problems. Jesus knows you and your circumstances intimately, and He will take care of you, no matter what you face.

– Shelli Prindle

I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)

May 19, 2020 – Beautiful Feet

Beautiful Feet

Though our feet may be tired, dirty, and lowly depending on where we are in the journey, our feet are beautiful in the sight of God when we bring the good news of Jesus Christ to a dark and dying world!

– Shelli Prindle

How lovely on the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who announces peace and brings good news of happiness, who announces salvation, and says to Zion, ‘Your God reigns!'” (Isaiah 52:7)
