Genesis 19:4-8 (ESV)
Sodom is a city overrun by sin and perversion. The Bible outlines a progression that starts with the rejection of revealed truth, then leads to a debased mind, and ultimately results in a blatant approval of sin. We will observe the essence of a society in the final stages of rebellion, right before the judgment of the Lord falls. Meanwhile, we will see how Lot, while a saved man, endured great turmoil, having located his family right in the center of such a culture. The tragedies of his life are heartbreaking, and one of his decisions seems so bad as to be unreal. Let’s learn and grow by God’s Word and God’s Spirit.
