Genesis 16:9-10 (ESV)
Hagar is a woman in great distress. She is the victim of the sin of others, and she is a sinner herself. She flees to the wilderness while pregnant and without any resource for help or hope. Enter the God who sees! The mercy of the Lord is beyond our understanding, and so is His ability to know us as we really are and help us as we really need.
