What in the world was Jesus saying when he proclaimed, “I came to cast fire on the earth, and would that it were already kindled!”? Did He actually say, “I have not come to bring peace, but a sword”? The church is so busy being like the world and fitting in with the world and pleasing the world, that the church’s effectiveness has passed away. To be the change agent the Lord wants us to be, we have to be changed! We are called out to be different! We are to be consumed with the fire of God!
