Why Should God Hear My Prayers?

Why should God hear my prayers? I mean, He’s the Creator, and I’m the created. He’s holy and I’m a sinner, so why should God listen to the cry of my heart? I have one word for you – Jesus. The Bible says that Jesus died on the cross and shed His blood, so that people, like you and me, could be forgiven of our sins and have a way to talk to the God of the universe.

When you pray, not only does God hear you, but He responds to you. Now, He is going to answer our prayers in a much better way than we would answer them, because He knows infinitely more than we know, but He hears you.

You see, to pray “in the name of Jesus” is not just to tack a phrase onto the end of your prayer. To pray in the name of Jesus is to pray because of who Jesus is and because of what He has done. Jesus is the reason that we get to talk to God. Talk to Him today.

Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the holy places by the blood of Jesus, … let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith.” – (Hebrews 10:19a, 22a)
