What does it mean that the coming Antichrist (the beast) will devour the prostitute (the false church)? The apostate church and Antichrist worked together for a time, but midway through the Tribulation, the beast and his cohort of world leaders will devour the false church. Then, the most horrid time ever known to mankind will come upon the earth. The deluded church, affected by the spirit of the antichrist, set the stage for this turn of events. The spirit of the antichrist is in the world today, so Christians need to understand the biblical truth and timeline.
